Standardizing scores for cannabis reviews like we have for wine and spirits is challenging for a variety of reasons. First, there's a broad array of categories ranging from flower to to vapes, to consider. Then, there's THC, CBD, full spectrum, isolate, etc., each of which is derived from specific techniques and results in a wide array of products. Then, of course, there's the highly individual nature of effect, which can vary greatly from person to person based on a variety of circumstances.

For these reasons, I've decided to offer reviews that analyze each product based on its specific category, from pre-rolls to topicals, and everything in between. I've also taken my lead from the long-standing 100 point scale applied to wines and spirits, with the below rubric as a guide:

95-100: I'm obsessed. A true classic!

90-94: Really, really good stuff.

85-89: It's good!

80-84: It's fine, ya know?
